![]() ![]() I also passed on the chicken, but it looked fine. I didn't brave that course though it was reported to be okay. It wasn't super crunchy but it wasn't oily or greasy either. Shrimp tempura was decent in size and after snatching the last piece from my friend's plate, I discovered that the batter was surprisingly light. I was not disappointed (though the bar was set pretty low). I am not a fan of CA rolls but for this little detail, I was inspired to try a piece. Instead of the shredded fake crab meat drenched in mayo, there was actually an entire piece of fake crab meat with no mayo at all. Lo' and behold, it wasn't total crap.Ĭalifornia rolls were, as far as I'm concerned, better than most. To offer sushi in a food court is ballsy enough, but to actually order it in a food court is a whole 'nother world of courage.īeautiful and brave, my friend ordered the combination plate with assorted nigiri, tempura, and teriyaki chicken. I suggest that you interpret my 3/5 rating in its proper context: Sushi in a Food Court. A very casual Japanese place in the food court. Just go, order, and have no expectations. The place is small but well staffed as my food came out so quickly. She was patient as I had trouble deciding what to get. The girl who took my order was really nice too. The prices are very reasonable still after it has increased a bit from before. The next time I go, I will definitely try their Poke Bowls. I don't mind the wait at all, since I have a sensitive stomach. especially sushi that's made on the spot. But personally, I rather order something. I'm sure they're all freshly made during the day. But most the sushi in that area were California Rolls, which I'm not really a big fan of to eat. They also have a self service area where they mainly sell bento boxes of sushi. My sushi rolls were freshly made after I ordered. Of course not compared to gourmet sushi, but I really like this place. I ordered their spicy tuna rolls and it was really good. Sushiboy is a casual Japanese sushi/poke place. I guess nobody wanted to be outside that day because it was too hot. However, they do have additional areas to sit outside. The whole food court is quite compact with limited tables and seats for you to eat indoors. This Sushiboy is located inside the food court of Murakai Japanese Supermarket. ![]()
